Description
The Shure ULXD2/B87C is a digital handheld wireless microphone transmitter compatible with ULX-D receivers. It comes equipped with the Beta 87C cardioid condenser capsule designed to deliver an extremely smooth frequency response with extended high end for vocal performers and presenters. The capsule features a cardioid pick-up pattern that reduces rear and off-axis background noise, helping to control feedback.
With a rugged, yet lightweight aluminum housing, the ULXD2/B87C transmitter delivers pristine audio quality and RF performance, AES 256-bit encryption for secure transmission, and advanced rechargeability options for professional sound reinforcement applications.

The ULXD2 proprietary Gain Ranging optimizes the system’s dynamic range for any input source, so you no longer need to adjust the transmitter. Use Transmitter Mute Mode to reassign controls to the On/Off switch, changing it into a Mute Switch so you can turn off audio without sacrificing RF channel presence. It also features frequency and power lockout, a backlit display for efficient navigation and settings control, and much more. In addition, the ULXD2 comes with integrated AES 256-bit encryption, ensuring secure transmission.
This handheld transmitter features a durable, all-metal build, as well as external charging contacts for docked charging (with the SBC200 Dual Docking Charger, sold separately).

The Beta 87C’s uniform cardioid pattern provides maximum sound isolation and minimum off-axis tone coloration, rejecting ambient sound from the rear of the microphone—perfect for singers using personal monitor systems. It features a 3-stage pop filter minimizes breath noise and vocal pops and its controlled low-frequency roll-off compensates for proximity effect and prevents the “boomy” sound that can happen with close-up use. This condenser mic capsule is an excellent choice for any vocalist or speaker looking to reduce off-axis coloration and wanting to maintain a warm and natural sound for their event.
